ROAD RAGE!!!!

This week I was talking one of my favorite rides through the city. I was in the middle of the city waiting on a red light and this idiot in a SRT Cherokee decided to push his way nexted to me in the same single lane. So you have me in the far left of the lane waiting for a green light and than you have this jeep in the same lane right next to me reving his engine. 

I could have handled this situation a few different ways. 

First: I could have hit hit mirror and pulled away. That will teach him.

Second: I always have my knife on my I could have just stabbed his tire. Cannot be a idiot driver if you cannot drive. 

Third: I could have road next to him just reving my engine and yelling at them.

Fourth: let the light turn green and just let them pass..

Yesteryears me would have probably opted for any one of those options other than the fourth one. Today's me choose the fourth option. Some may say I wussed out but there is a very important thing to remember that I think a lot of us motorcycle riders forgot. 

Any accident with a cager we the  motorcyclist always loses. This point right here most of us forget. If I started yelling at the guy, smashed his mirror and he panic and hit me I lose. Even if the guy gets in trouble, here I am at best walking away sore and having to get my bike fix. Worse case I am dead.. yeah the other driver might go to jail for a few years but my wife lost her husband and my kid lost there dad.

Today there are more drivers on the road and there are more road rage incidents  than ever before. We as motorcycle need to try and take the higher road not only for our safety but for our loved ones too..
