About Me
Thank you for checking out my Blog.
Little about me.. I am 39 years old Husband and father to 3 great (pain in the ass sometimes) kids. starting a blog because I think that its going to be fun to share my adventurers and the motorcycles I love. Due to family and other life events I took a break from riding all together. after a 10 year absents from riding I am back it and loving every minute of it.
My love for motorcycles started when I was just two years old. My Grandfather used to put me on the back of his Goldwing and off we would go around the block. I am going to be honest here, I don't remember riding when I was two but there are photos of me riding with my grandfather and all the stores told around family dinner. That said some of my earliest memoirs are me riding on the back of that Goldwing. When I was 7 or 8 it was time for my own motorcycle or should I say dirt bike. It was either a 50cc or 80cc Honda but it was ALL MINE! I road that bike from dusk to dawn. It wasn't long before I out grew that little bike and with the help of my grandfather I bought a brand new 100cc Honda. Fast forward a few year it time for me to get my motorcycle permit. My first Street bike that I got my my hands on my mothers 86 Honda 450 Rebel. pretty great bike to learn on but it wasn't long before I was asking my grandfather to take his Harley out. I was hooked again on street bikes.
My wife and I would take my grandfathers Harley out (I sold my motorcycles to pay for the wedding) and we would put 400 miles on it every weekend.. even after my first kid I was still riding almost everyday.. at the time when my son turned 4 he would go everywhere with me on that motorcycle. When my oldest was 10 we where blessed with our next son.. at this point my love of motorcycles took back seat. My wife and now two kids didn't really fit on a motorcycle.
We are going to take another jump in time. My daughter is 9, Son is 11, and my oldest is now 21. My kids have been on me to get my grandfathers Harley up and running they want to go for a ride.. I spent part of the summer get the bike in running order. took my daughter for her first ever motorcycle ride and she is HOOKED. I realized how much I missed riding and it being a part of my life. this summer I have been taking the kids for rides. they have been even keeping track of how long one gets a ride for. they will say He still has 100 miles more than me its my turn. for now we are enjoying our motorcycles and cannot wait to see how there love of motorcycles grows.
